Edina, with its Southdale shopping area, is about 10 blocks west. Bloomington, with its Southtown shopping area, is 3 blocks south.

This is the heart of the Southwest Metro area. This area and east and west along Interstate 494, sometimes referred to as the Bloomington Strip, rivals downtown Minneapolis in terms of concentration of business, commerce, shopping, and entertainment. Many of our Residents are employed along the Bloomington Strip

• Rt 4-The major route between Southtown Shopping Center and Downtown Minneapolis passes along Penn Avenue.

• Rt 46-Pass by Park and Ride lot across the street from 7536 Oliver and includes several express buses to and from downtown Minneapolis via Interstate 35W.

Bloomington/Edina  Line (BE Line): (Stops at Southtown-3 Blocks Away) and provides service between Southdale Shopping Center and the Mall of America. All three shopping centers include major transit hubs.
